First Offender Program Helpful Resources

This is a five-week, multi-family educational program offered to youth in trouble with the law for the first time. It requires attendance by the youth and at least one parent (or guardian) at all five sessions. Participants can be referred by:

  • Police Department
  • Fire Department
  • Probation Department
  • Schools
  • Attorneys
  • Churches
  • Counselors
  • Concerned Parents and/or Family Members

Assessment Procedure

A family assessment is required before entering the First Offender Program. These assessments are conducted by Licensed Professional Counselors or Licensed Professional Counselor Interns. During this time, the family will have an opportunity to talk with the counselor in a group setting and individually.

There is a $25 non-refundable fee for the assessment.

Location and Hours

MONDAY

This program is held at the Allen Municipal Court on Monday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

TUESDAY
This program is held at the Crossroads Office on Tuesday nights in room 135, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

WEDNESDAY
This program is held at Old Settlers Recreation Center in McKinney on Wednesday nights 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
